Privacy, in plain language.

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. No legalese where plain words will do. Questions? Email contact@martech-solutions.ca and we'll explain.

Who's responsible

MarTech Solutions is a one-person B2B marketing agency based in Vancouver, British Columbia, operated by Valera Voronin — who is also the privacy officer responsible for your information. For anything privacy-related: contact@martech-solutions.ca.

What we collect

1. What you send us

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, business name (optional), and message you give us, delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms. We use it to reply to you. Please don't send sensitive information (health, financial, government IDs) through the form — we don't want it and don't collect it.

2. Analytics (only with your consent)

If you agree to analytics cookies, we collect data about your visit — pages viewed, how you got here, general location, device and browser, and a Google Analytics identifier called a "client ID" — using Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager.

3. Advertising (only with your consent)

If you agree to advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag may set cookies so we can measure and, in future, run ads. These are off unless you turn them on.

Linking analytics to leads — we're upfront about this

When you submit the contact form and you've consented to analytics, we save your Google Analytics client ID with your submission. It shows us which pages and content led to your inquiry. Because this links your website activity to your name and email, we treat the combined record as personal information and protect it accordingly. You can ask us to delete this link at any time. Without analytics consent, no client ID is captured.

Your choices about cookies

Non-essential cookies don't run without a choice you control, and where you are matters:

  • EU, UK, and Quebec visitors: nothing non-essential runs until you actively accept — and Reject is exactly as easy as Accept.
  • Rest of Canada and the US: analytics and advertising may be on by default, but you can opt out anytime, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically.

Change or withdraw your choice anytime with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or right here:

Cookies we use

  • mts-consent-v2 (browser storage) — remembers your cookie choices, with a timestamp so we can prove them (essential).
  • mts-geo — a 24-hour cookie holding your country/region so we can show the right banner and language (essential).
  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics visitor and session identifiers, ~14 months (analytics consent).
  • _fbp — Meta ads measurement, ~3 months (advertising consent).
  • li_*, bcookie — LinkedIn ads measurement, up to ~12 months (advertising consent).

Email marketing

We only send marketing email to people who opted in, or where Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) allows it through an existing business relationship. Every email identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe, honoured within 10 business days.

Who we share with

A few service providers run this site: Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (Tag Manager, Analytics 4, and BigQuery storage — our analytics data lives in Google's Canadian region), and Meta / LinkedIn (advertising tools, only with your consent). Some providers process data on US servers. We never sell your personal information.

What we don't do

  • We never sell your personal information — to anyone, for anything.
  • No automated decisions are made about you; a human reads every inquiry.
  • We don't build profiles of you beyond measuring whether our own marketing works.
  • This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
  • We don't try to re-identify anyone from aggregated analytics data — and we don't let anyone else try either.

How long we keep things

  • Contact inquiries and lead records — up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Analytics (GA4 + BigQuery) — raw event data retained 14 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Consent records — 3 years, so we can show a choice was made.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent. EU/UK visitors also have portability and objection rights; California, Colorado, Virginia and similar-state residents can opt out of targeted advertising (we honour GPC); Quebec residents have Law 25 rights including portability — and for the record, we don't do any automated decision-making. Email contact@martech-solutions.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.

Questions or complaints

Email us first — we want to sort it out. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the BC OIPC, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, the UK's ICO, or your EU national data protection authority.
